Cedric Poole's extracts from the journals of John Wesley which are in the public domain. The extracts are from years which correspond with the day and date of the current year (2011). So when JW says it is Monday 5 Sept 17.., it is Monday 5 Sept, 2011 . Over the years I have found this to be an interesting way to read John Wesley's journals. I hope you do too.

If I must dispute, let it be with men of sense
Mon 8 Mar 1762: I retired to Lewisham, to answer Dr. Horne’s ingenious "Sermon on Justification by Works." O that I might dispute with no man! But if I must dispute, let it be with men of sense.
